This particular course will be a great introduction to Taiko for complete beginners.
All welcome from complete beginners to intermediate level. Age 12 and above. (age 12 - 16 with parental consent) Classes have a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. All equipment is provided, and all you need is comfortable clothing and plenty of energy and enthusiasm.
The course consists of 4 lessons where we will go through the patterns, movement and theatrical elements of a specific piece, and work on fun drills and exercises to improve our playing, culminating in playing the complete piece as a group at the end of the course.
The course starts on Friday 13th November, and continues on Fridays Nov 20th, 27th and Dec 4th. 7pm - 8.30pm

Costfor the course: £28 / £24 concessions, NUS and under 16 To help with current safety guidelines, shared group drumsticks (bachi) will currently not be available, and all participants will have to own their own pair. Brand new pairs of bachi will be available to buy at the classes for £13 a pair. Please let us know if you require a pair.
Venue: Clifton Green Primary School, Water Lane, York, YO30 6JA Clifton Green Primary School is about 15 mins walk, 5 mins drive from the centre of York. Regular buses pass Clifton Green, where its only a few mins walk up Water Lane to get to. Plenty of parking available in the school car park.
